How is MIC + B12 different?

The same lipotropic principle as MICC, with a higher B12 content. That makes it the better fit when correcting low B12 is the main goal and metabolic support is secondary. Your clinician will suggest which of the two formulations matches your labs and your objective.

What to expect

What to expect

  • Weekly injection — One vial covers around ten weeks.
  • Higher B12 than MICC — The right pick when B12 is the priority.
  • Pink urine is normal — The B12 being excreted.
  • A supporting role — It complements a programme rather than replacing one.

Risks & side effects

This injection combines vitamin B12 with methionine, inositol and choline. There is no FDA approved lipotropic or MIC product, so there is no FDA reviewed safety label for the combination and no established side effect rate for it. The warnings below come from the FDA label for vitamin B12 injection, which is one of its ingredients.

Tell your care team straight away if you get trouble breathing, throat swelling or hives after an injection, chest tightness, muscle weakness, or an irregular heartbeat.

Common side effects

  • a reaction where the injection was given
  • mild diarrhea
  • itching
  • rash

Do not take this if you are sensitive to cobalt or to vitamin B12.

This is not a complete list of side effects. Message your care team about any symptom that worries you. What we dispense is a compounded preparation made by a licensed US pharmacy. Compounded medications are not approved by the FDA for safety, efficacy or quality.

Common questions

How does this differ from MICC?

It carries a higher B12 content. If correcting low B12 is your main goal, this is usually the better fit; MICC leans more toward the lipotropic components.

Which one should I be on?

Your clinician will suggest based on your labs and what you are trying to achieve. They are close relatives rather than alternatives to weigh up alone.

Why does my urine turn pink?

The B12. It is harmless and passes within a day.

Will it cause weight loss on its own?

No. Like any lipotropic injection it supports a wider programme rather than producing weight loss independently.
